NEW COUNTERFEIT US DOLLAR
Following
the proliferation of previous type US dollars, new US banknotes, known
as the 1996 series and hardened by new security features, have been
released since 1996. It was a precaution against counterfeit dollars,
which are known as Super Dollar having no distinciton from the real one
except for a few microscopic distinction. For more information on how to
understand whether a dollar is counterfeit or not, read the following
carefully. Report to the neares police unit in case of having any
suspect and have it examined in our laboratory. Remember that it is a
crime if you use a banknote which you know is counterfeit. HOW TO UNDERSTAND Although
these banknotes known as “Super Counterfeit”are very similar to the
real one in terms of distinctive features, it can easily be understood
after a detailed bare eyed examination. In this kind of banknotes the
quality of paper is similar to the real one however it can be
distiguished. (Picture
1) Counterfeit ones do not have the grill-like pattern at the back. You
can see this distinctive feature by holding the banknote and gazin at it
at different angled light resources. (Picture
2) The watermark (impressed desing in a paper which is only visivle when
held up to the light) in counterfeit banknotes have differences from the
real ones. (Picture
3) Counterfeit ones have differences in the ink (used in serial numbers
and stamps). This can be understood after having it examined by persons
in Infrared light resource.
