DNA Chip Technology in Biological Examinations Section of KPL

"Microchip DNA Technology” was developed by NANOGEN, a US firm working on genetics and supported by FBI, for identifying criminals, and USA started to use it. It was presented to five countries, chosen in Europe, for establishing a standart in the member states of Europen Community.

Because the poster presentation given by Biological Examinations Section of KPL in a seminar organized in Germany was met with appreciation, and because the equipment used in KPL is up to the world standarts, and finally because the technology used was the state-of-the-art tech, TURKEY became one of the chosen countries. Four other countries chosen are: Germany, Britain, Denmark and Spain. All the expenses related to the project shall be met by NANOGEN firm.
